when we first launched GRRRL, the world was a much simpler place and our goal was equally straightforward – to change how women saw themselves and how the world saw women.

And to make it at a far more accessible price point than nike or lululemon. We never claimed that our clothing would change the world, but we knew the women who wore it would.

until this day, 97% of athletic wear for women is made to a sizing convention that only caters for 30% of women. Now even the “so-called average” woman is bigger than the standard siding offered by mainstream athletic wear brands. “average sized bodies” are now considered PLUS. But we don’t like the way the male lead industry categorizes and segments us based on a male ideal of the female body. So less of that.
